AOJIE Releases Dirt-cheap Netbooks

Chinese netbooks have never really been pricey, but now it seems that they are getting dirt-cheap. AOJIE, a Chinese PC maker, has released two netbooks selling at $146 and $160.

The AOJIE X100V and X100A are equipped with 10 inch displays. The cheaper model – the X100V – is powered by a 1.6 GHz VIA C7-M processor. The other model, X100A, has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. Both models run Windows XP. Other specifications include 1.3 MP webcam, WiFi b/g/n and a 3-cell 220mAh battery. There are 2 USB ports. But these are the specs you get with standard netbooks, you might say. Well, not really. The AOJIE models have just 512MB of RAM and a 4GB solid state drive. But at just $160, the X100A is still worth considering.
